We are in the New Year people. I guess we've all been waiting for it since March but we definitely powered through it and ended 2020 the best way we could. So let's focus on this journey around the sun. 🤗
I love to plan but I also like to let life do its thing and guide me as well. Let's just say I plan 2/3 of the way and let my free spirit do whatever for that nice little 1/3. That being said, resolutions and year goals are my thing. I never understood bashing people for using the new year feeling to work on themselves or set out future accomplishments. (If you are one of those people, I do not apologize if you feel offended but feel free to comment and we can have a discussion.) Any-who, here are some of my personal and blogging goals for the year.
Starting with my (well our) beautiful blog, Mes. G, I would like to;
1. Make quotes more like affirmations or most likely do both. I have fallen in
love with the idea of personalizing quotes or having mantras. It makes it easier
to not only relate but also motivate you throughout the day or any given
situation.
2. Do more original quotes. Which I guess, will tie into the first goals since I
can then frame quotes into mantras.(rubs palms with the sneaky face)
3. Be consistent with my writing. Most of the poems I have posted are one's I
have had for years so I want to write at least 24 new ones this year. Also my
rant section on the blog has very few entries, so that needs to improve with at
least 2 post for that section alone a month.
Moving on to the Personal, I would like to
1. Practice yoga everyday along with my stretch and exercise routine. There is
something about starting your day with stretches that makes it easier to
maneuver through out the day.
2. Get my driver's license, (it's time I guess) and COVID really slowed up that
process for me but this is the year.
3. Finish my bachelor's degree. It has been a long road and I am tired of
the back and forth. I am so ready to dive in to my career that I refuse to
prolong it an additional year. Unless it is impossible due to credits. I will
finish.
4. Volunteer in my field. For a long time I have been searching for a good
place to give my time and gain experience with child care, mental health
and/or youth programs.
5.Focus on having joy, which is the most important. I want genuine joy that
and not just happiness. It needs to come from within, without an outside
source.
These are not the goals I am limited to this year but the ones I wanted to share and be held accountable for by others. These can also, inspire someone else's list and allow me to commit the ritual with other resolutioners. Please do not be afraid to setout accomplishments because you are afraid of what might happen; you should make the because you never know what might happen. So share some resolutions with me and we can work on them together.
See you next week and keep living life one atom at a time.
